Hi! I’m Audrey!

Audrey Schmidt, Owner

I’m the owner, farmer, designer and one woman show at Dry Creek Flowers. I started this business in 2019 out of love for growing and creating, and actually following through with my dream of having a massive rose garden after I discovered 9-5 office life wasn’t for me. I graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a BFA in Art and Graphic Design and constantly call on those skills in my floral design. I spent years in marketing and branding in the food and wine industries but the time came to get my hands dirty and do my own thing, and I couldn’t be happier.

My business has found its niche doing event design using my own flowers, as well as other locally grown blooms from other farmers I know personally. I love working with clients to design thoughtful, beautiful, and creative floral, but equally I love growing; even though it’s tons of work to do both, I can’t give either up. My flower farm is a quarter acre plot on a vineyard in the heart of Dry Creek Valley. I farm as organically and sustainably as possible and make every effort to preserve the lives of beneficial pollinators.

My husband manages his family’s 70 acre vineyard, which has been farmed by them for 6 generations, since 1856; we are truly lucky to have this land to tend together. In 2021 we welcomed our first child, Lillian. She is my little flower girl, sometimes “helping” me in the garden and keeps us on our toes with her curiosity. In my free time (wait what free time?) I like to cook using ingredients from our garden, running, and exploring Sonoma County with friends and family.
